Our target audience is primarily 12 to 19 year old youth in Washoe County. Our focus is generally on youth who are at risk of failing in traditional settings, however, we also believe every child deserves a chance to participate in a program.
Although we are not a full-time operation yet and are not yet able to serve as many as we’d like, we do make every effort to do so if possible! Our goal is to be in a position to serve all who come our way!
Horses for the Spirit has offered customized one-day events for kids under the age of 12 or accepted children under the minimum age under special circumstances. We make every effort to find a way to include any child who desires to be or needs to be in a program.
Our programs are usually geared toward groups of kids and individual sessions can be requested but may or may not be possible to facilitate.
