Magic is the smallest member of our horse herd this spring and she has ended up with a very special job in our Saturday program with Social Services kids. One of the young ladies who is participating loves horses and the day before the program was set to start, she fractured her arm and showed up that first Saturday with her right arm in a sling! This is not particularly conducive to being able to safely work around the horses.
Thankfully since Magic is a small pony and such a good girl, we were able to pair Magic up with this young lady with the fractured arm. So she is able to participate along with all the others despite her injury!
Two of the girls in the group selected Magic to be their partner, but in a great show of flexibility, the girl without the fractured arm gracefully agreed to pair up with another horse.
